I'm sorry to report I had a bad nightmare about the book I'll call "Trip of Secrets." You can take or leave this comment as you wish. In real life, I worked for a woman who loved children. She was married to three men, and all of her biological children were boys. She wanted a girl so she adopted an infant girl from Peru. Unfortunately, the girl was accident prone, and she died in a car crash at age 22. Before she died, she had a baby out of wedlock. It was a boy, but in fiction, it could be a girl, who goes on your trip to find out something about her roots.

I think Bad Trip would be great for a romcom, but something similar and less punchy would be better for a thriller. I don’t know …. “When we were tripping”. Obviously this is not my wheelhouse!

I agree with Angie Brooks that "Bad Trip" sounds like a bad LSD trip. There is also a Netflix movie called "Bad Trip". I would play around with the word "secret". As TV writers you may or may not remember "I've Got a Secret" or "The Secret Storm". There are musical groups that have played around with "Hidden Souls", "Secret Souls", and "Secrets Bared". It also sounds like one of the characters should die in a novel called "Bad Trip." If that happens, then maybe "Bad Trip" works. You might try "Secrets Shattered" or "Trip of Secrets".

I love The Bad Trip! I can see that title in the opening credits of a show!

Bad trip sounds a bit like a drug related issue - I wouldn’t ever pick it up out of curiosity for that reason. 👎

I don't like the title. Too simple and telling.
